Get to Know
Hi, I'm Alison.
I have always been drawn to people and their stories. I have a genuine curiosity about what makes each person who they are—their experiences, their authenticity, their strengths, and the unique perspective they bring to the world.
I believe there is something to be understood and appreciated in every person, and I feel most connected to others when I can listen deeply, without judgement, and truly meet them where they are.
I believe some of these qualities are connected to my Irish roots and the importance of connection, community, warmth, and looking out for one another. These values have stayed with me throughout my life and have naturally found their way into the work I do today.
What brought me here?
My path to counselling has also been shaped by life itself.
I have experienced immense grief and loss, navigated divorce, raised my children, and moved through many of the unexpected challenges that life can bring. I have known what it feels like to find your way through difficult seasons, sometimes unsure of what comes next while continuing to put one foot in front of the other.
These experiences have given me a deeper appreciation for the complexity of being human—and for how important it can be to have someone walk alongside you when life feels difficult. I am of the mind that we are not meant to navigate everything alone.
What continues to draw me to this work is the person behind the story—not simply what has happened to you, but who you are, what you've carried, what has helped you survive, what gives you strength, and what you may be discovering about yourself along the way.
How I Work
My background is in Social Work and Counselling, with a focus on understanding the whole person within the context of their relationships, experiences, and environment. I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Over the course of my career, I have supported individuals and families through a variety of emotional, relational and life challenges.

What I believe
I believe that you deserve to matter—not because something is wrong, but because you are a whole person worthy of being understood, supported and connected. For me, that means creating space for:
WHOLE PERSON WELLNESS — Seeing beyond diagnosis or circumstance.
AUTHENTICITY — Creating space to be honest about where you are.
CONNECTION — Healing doesn't have to happen alone.
POSSIBILITY — Making room for growth, change and what comes next.
Wellness isn't simply about fixing what's wrong.
It's about reconnecting with yourself, understanding yourself, recognizing your worth, and creating a life that feels more aligned and connected.
Why I created
Kelly Wellness Studio
I created Kelly Wellness Studio from a deep belief in the power of connection, community, and the relationship we have with ourselves.
I wanted to create a space where people can be seen and heard as a whole being—not simply through the lens of a diagnosis, a difficult experience, or the reason that brought them through the door.
A space where people can slow down, exhale, reconnect with themselves, and feel supported in their own process.
Healing begins within, but connection helps us move through it.
A Place to Return To
My vision for Kelly Wellness Studio is to create a welcoming wellness and community space where people can access different experiences that support the whole person.
COUNSELLING
Professional counselling remains at the heart of the Studio.WELLNESS
Sound healing, meditation, yoga, workshops and groups.COMMUNITY
A gathering place where practitioners, experts and people can connect around wellbeing.
Over time, I hope the Studio becomes a place people return to not simply when something is wrong, but because it contributes something positive to their overall wellbeing. And as it grows, I want to preserve what makes it special: its intimate, retreat-like quality and the feeling that there is room to slow down, reconnect, and simply be.
